About Us

Susannah and I (Lauren) met in one of the largest buildings in downtown Portland while working at a corporate job that we both had taken straight out of college. Four months after we met, we were assigned to sit next to each other due to seating chart change at our company. After the seating change fully sunk in, we tentatively started to talk and get to know each other better and then suddenly it was like we couldn’t stop talking and making each other laugh. Susannah is the type of person that is not only incredibly nice, but is also so effortlessly funny that you have no other choice but to hang around her. And I’m obviously perfect in every way, so she was desperate to be my friend and I honestly don’t blame her.

We went out to brunch one Saturday, one of us being deathly hungover and the other being WAY too chipper, and while we talked about what we’ve always wanted to do, we had a bit of a revelation. I love writing and researching and Susannah loves content creation and trying new things. After we mentioned what we’d eventually like to do, there was this sudden lightbulb moment that led us to decide to start this page. Susannah will be the content creator in charge of all photography and videography on our instagram page while I will be the one hiding behind the keyboard, writing all of this (and shamelessly eating all the food and drinking all the cocktails).

Our goal for this platform is to use it to share a collection of the little gems we have found in Portland with those of you who share our interests. Our expertise lies in all of the best food, drinks, travel, and dating hotspots in Portland and we are more than ready to share them with you all. Our hope is that we can be a friend and travel advisor to you while we build this platform and discover new places to go and things to do!
